Mr.Sitharaman Balasubramanian is the founder, chairman and managing director of BSR Technologies Private. Limited. Prior to starting BSR, from 2008 to 2013, he served as Director of Manufacturing at Thermo Fisher Scientific India and was a member of it's India board. Mr. Sitharaman started his professional career at Chemito Technologies in 1972 as a Junior Engineer. In 1980, he took charge of its new manufacturing facility at Nashik as Production Manager. Subsequently, as general manager, and vice president, he was responsible for the company's overall manufacturing operations. Between 1999 and 2008, he served as a Director and board member of Chemito Technologies. Mr. Sitharaman has extensive experience and expertise in the design, manufacturing and marketing of scientific and analytical instruments. He received Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Madras University and completed his management training at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
